- Currently Managing multiple projects to implement emergency radio systems at several US Air Force bases, National Parks, and Hydroelectric Dams. Coordinate the work of radio systems engineers and field service technicians from multiple internal departments as well as the work of external contractors to install electrical service, radio towers, shelters, stage and pre-test equipment, install and test systems at customer sites.
2001 - 2003
Net-Com ITS, Consultant assigned to ChevronTexaco Information Technology
Successfully designed and merged the legacy Chevron and Texaco data communications networks for over 1000 offices into one high speed, low latency, and centrally managed global network
· 9 months research, planning, and design. 14 months implementation. Part of a $140MM merger project of which the global LAN/WAN network portion was $12.8MM. Completed implementation ahead of schedule and under budget.
· Designed new circuit connectivity and selected router hardware for each office for more than 1000 Cisco routers worldwide.
· Built a team of Chevron, Texaco, IBM, EDS, and other consultants to carry out the implementations. As North America “Subject Matter Expert” providing network project consultation to clients, peers, and other teams. Coordinated with numerous other functional teams in which the network changes were in the critical path for the upgrade of 8,000 servers and 43,000 desktops.
· Successfully implemented the strategic plan to combine networks by IP-readdressing, re-homing circuits, and upgrading Cisco router and Ethernet switch hardware to new standards for each remote office. Migrated circuit connectivity for data centers and offices as they merged and moved.
· Determined and tracked the project cost, schedule, and the progress of 12 EDS contract analysts. Reviewed and tracked resulting invoice changes to ensure cost reductions.
· In a related project, reviewed secure connectivity requirements with 3rd party business partner companies and successfully migrated physical and logical circuit connections to a new hub location and firewall

2000-2001 Sr. Manager, Compaq Computer Corporation
· Created a new department providing 3rd-level expert support for voice and data communications networks
· Quickly responded and addressed network circuit and hardware problems and reduced the impact and number of failures and thereby improving reliability and availability

· Successfully merged and consolidated the legacy Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation data networks of 250 remote offices into one global network.
· Managed and supervised the work of a mixed team of 12 Digital and Compaq diversely located engineering project managers
· Planned, restructured, installed, and upgraded LAN/WAN communications to accommodate office consolidations and to connect new offices
· Designed, implemented, and supported communications networks connecting over 200 North American Compaq corporate sites as well as firewalled connections to over 100 partner locations
· Improved the readability of AT&T invoices so that costs could be easily understood and paid without need for time-consuming detailed analysis
