I am looking for a management position with a Fortune 500 company in which I can continue to design, implement, merge, and support large computer networks.
I have been a successful manager of people and projects for Shell Oil, Compaq Computer Corp., ChevronTexaco, and now Motorola for a cumulative 25 years. My primary areas of interest and technical expertise are staff management, project management, radio and data communications.
I am currently managing projects to install emergency radio systems for Motorola at several US Air Force bases, hydroelectric dams, and national parks.
I managed a group of contract Telecommunications engineers who merged the Chevron and Texaco computer data networks into one new combined network. I was primarily responsible for the "Americas" portion of the global project with 10-12 engineers reporting to me and about 250 remote locations to connect.
Prior to that, I did the same for Compaq as they merged networks with various smaller companies and then with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). This was prior to their merger with Hewlett-Packard.
Before that, I worked as a manager and engineer designing, building, managing, and supporting the Shell Oil company data communications network.
